As laid down in Dutch law, every study programme or group of study programmes has an Educational Programme Committee (opleidingscommissie) that is tasked with giving advice regarding the promoting and safeguarding of the respective programme’s quality.

Educational Programme Committees (EPCs), for example, have:

the right of consent with regard to certain subjects of the Education and Examination Regulations (EER),
the right of advice regarding all other matters of the EER,
the task of annually assessing the manner in which the EER are implemented
the task of advising the programme director and management as well as the Dean regarding all matters of education in the programme.
